Lovely to meet you!

I’m Mandy Byatt, and my debut novel,Just Another Liar, was published by Avon Books in 2022 (yes, that really is me in Waterstones, proudly posing with it!). My second novel, The Younger Woman (also published by Avon Books) followed in 2023.

In 2025, I founded Maybero Publishing to publish my new crime series, The British Heritage Mysteries. The first book, The Gallery of Bones, is out now. It’s set where I grew up, in Biddulph in the Staffordshire Moorlands, a beautiful and atmospheric area close to the Peak District. The second novel in the series, The Tower of the Winds, is also out now. It’s set at the glorious Shugborough Estate, near to Stafford. I had great fun writing both stories and hope you enjoy reading them.

I now live near Manchester, where I write, read far too many crime novels, and continue to be inspired by landscape, history and the stories places hold.
